Belated happy 2009! Hope the year's treating you well so far. Apparently there's a new president. When did that happen?
It's going to be an interesting year, I can tell you that... wrapping things up, starting new things, planning new new things... but hey, all that in due time. It gives me stuff to look forward to... as opposed to my city's damnable bus strike.
I've recently been playing with a new toy: a refurb Macbook. So far, it's... interesting. I haven't quite decided if I like it more than Windows; they're both annoying in their own special ways. The litmus test, to me, would be to make a comic on it. Mind you, that means graphics software, which I don't quite have for it yet. I will say that I miss having two mouse-type buttons... (note to self: buy an extra mouse!)
On the other hand, I found some interesting free software for it: Celtx. It's screenwriting software. I've been pretty Luddite for comic writing (pencil to paper), so I'm attempting to write the next story in it. I can get my ideas down fine, but part of my procedure for writing is to thumbnail as I go. This is a little bit limited, to say the least.
Last week, in this comic, there's a distinct character standing behind Pete and Fred in the second panel. It's the cartoon representation of Krishna Sadasivam, as he appears in his comic Uncubed. He also does PC Weenies, so go check 'em out!
ToG doesn't get too much fan art (which isn't a pleading demand for people to send stuff in, but I'm not going to turn you down if you do, hint hint), so it's always an occasion when there is stuff!
